Lots of slow burners in the latest from Kassini. These guys are pretty damn good at capturing your attention with complex, almost trippy crescendos, and then breaking it down with driving rhythms and sweet-A melodies. Come to think of it, really the only track that they kick it from top to bottom is "Just Like Me," which, by the way, has a nice little mini-jam session about half way through it. All in all, Immune is a solid album and I'd be curious to see/hear how they layer all of their sound. Here's to hoping they swing through the DC area when they get out on the road.
And hats off to Kassini for thinking old-school... offering Immune up concept-style for free (buying it broken up by track will cost you $10).
