Hooray Friday!

Rapid fire again this week. It's my last day before I start a new job and I want to close up shop and get outta here ASAP.

- News on the National DVD and EP out in May. Thanks to Metro D.

- Same band different blog. I think I may have posted this before but if not, Aquarium Drunkard has White Sessions from the National's visit to France in 2007.

- Hot Chip covers Snoop Dogg's "Sensual Seduction" and MOKB is on the case.

- M. Ward demos are available on I am fuel.

- Check out Tokyo Police Club's video for "Tessellate" of of theri new album Elephant Shell on Ultra8201.

- If you're interested in trying your hand at remixing, iTunes has different stems of Radiohead's "Nude" available. Thanks to Metro D again.

Hooray Friday!

- Besides the second night of Wilco/John Doe, NPR also has the Black Mountain/Ben Iver concert posted for your listening pleasure.

- Butter Team has the new LCD Soundsystem track that's going to appear on the 21 soundtrack, out March 18th (film out March 28th). BONUS - The post also had two acoustic Radiohead diddies.

- Pershing, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin's new album is out April 11th and MOKB hooks us up with two listens from it.

- More new songs from upcoming albums. The Black Keys have Attack & Release coming out on April 1st, but you can stream "Strange Times" now on their MySpace page.

- And again with the new stuff. Toyko Police Club. Elephant Shell. April 22nd. "In a Cave". Ultra 8201.

- Same blog, different band. I'm bummed that I won't be able to make the Ghostland Observatory show at the 9:30 later this month. Ultra 8201 has a video of their performance of "Heavy Heart" this week in Austin. And and and, you can stream the new album Robotique Majestique here.

- People seem to either love or hate Vampire Weekend. Well I'm one of the former, so back the eff up. Anyway, I am fuel has the Black Dominoes remix of their "Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa".

- Gnarls Barkley's new video "Run" is available on Brooklyn Vegan.

Hooray Friday!

- The White Stripes played their 10th anniversary show last Saturday in Nova Scotia - a 30-plus song, 2 1/2 hour barn burner. They've been popping up in the strangest of places - on the back of a boat, at a YMCA day camp, flour mill, museum, classroom, park and bowling alley. Now this a band for the people! If I was a rock star, I'd be like the White Stripes. See clips on Product Shop NYC and RatBat Bear.

- Bob Marley alert! Aquarium Drunkard has posted tracks from a 1973 radio session and 1976 concert. I, for one, will be digging in to these this weekend.

- I haven't had the chance (or quite frankly, the desire) to dive into the new Ryan Adam release, Easy Tiger - however, it seems to be picking up steam in numerous blogs. Alternate versions of some of the tracks can be found on I am fuel, you are friends.

- Same blog, different artist. Spoon has an EP of bonus material called Get Nice! Sample some of the offerings here.
.
- My Old Kentucky Blog has a few Dappled Cities tracks from the MOKB Radio show on Sirius here. I also uncovered Tokyo Police Club tracks from the same radio show here. Good stuff, but not quite enough to get me to pay for satellite radio (I'm a cheap bastard).
.
- I'm liking what I'm hearing from the White Rabbits. I'm also liking free, unreleased songs. Damn the man, I say! If you want to damn the man too, check them out here.
